Eyes Lips Eyes, formerly known as Elizabethan Report (ER), is a spirited indie/alternative rock band which formed in Provo, Utah. They stuffed their bags and headed to the West Coast and introduced California to their aggressive new-wave musical style that has elements of punk rock, pop and funk influences. They create a style that generates a chaotic yet controlled substance. The band is influenced by All-American rock bands such as the Talking Heads, The Strokes and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Day 183: The decade
A weird video. If you need a little more weird in your life, watch this. There's actually lots of cool moments in it. If you don't have 13 minutes, start at like 6 minutes.

Day 182: Super morsel
Props back at Portia Early, who propped us up at the top of her top ten albums list this year.
Read it here. And weep.
Now dry your eyes. Everything'll be all right. Because ER's in the running for another mention, and you can swing the two way door all the way into the kitchen. Bring in the yams, momma. Dinner's on ER tonight. Now tuck in that shirt tail. Not that one, leave that one be. I like you looking haggard anyway.
Make ER and yourselves famous by voting for ER here. We're under "Best Rock / Pop band" and "Best Rock / Pop album."
News: Aaron came home from Mexico. He promptly made a sub-par taco. It didn't ruin everything. The others are in Utah, which is absorbing their heat so it can last through the winter. Now here's a little something to help you last through the winter.

Day 181: More RnB Bible
THE BOOK OF O'JAYS
2. We've been goin' through a lotta changes for about six months or so.
3. And it's been real hard to talk to one another.
4. You know, a relationship ain't notin' without communication.
5. While we were laying in bed, the both of us, lookin' at the ceiling overhead,
6. Eyes wide open, about 3 o'clock in the morning,
7. I said, "Baby,
8. "We can't go on this way..."
9. She said, "You're right!"
10. I said, "I know you love me,
11. "And I love you."
12. Then we started holding each other,
13. And I felt a tear roll down my face...

Day 173: Tease
Here's a new ER2. It's been a while, (again!), we know. Took awhile to get this one right. Or maybe it was right and we just wanted it to be right for a few weeks before we put it up.
Did you know that in Mexico sometimes they eat with a table on the street like it's no thaaang? When was the last time you set up on University Avenue with your din? And how about this: their downtowns are more like how we kids imagine American downtowns were in the 1950's. The center of town is where the people are at. It's really happening down there. I often find myself wondering in the U.S., "where the people at?" They in El Centro.
But what are you going to do? You can't change all these socioeconomic forces that engulf the typical teenager. But you can't spend you life being a nagging nanny at your own culture, either, when it's all the same in the end. Maybe all you can do is climb to the top of a roof with some friends, have a pillow fight, and fall asleep on fluffy pillows to the sound of Jackson 5 Christmas being played below.

Day ??? I don't know I'm in Mexico
Been a while, but I'm back at ya.
Will you forgive me if I give you some Christmas presents?

The first present is Bibio. He's a music producer from Wolver'ampton, England. Check this song out, please. It may take a liking to you.
The second present is Illa J, for those of y'all who enjoy hip hop. I don't know too much about him, except that his song "We Here" is the no. 1 sound alike song to my song "Secret Crush" on thesixtyone.com. Sounded fresh to me. Oh, and he's J Dilla's brother. Wait, this just in from Wikipedia: brother J Dilla produced De La Soul, Busta Rhymes, Common, and my favorite, A Tribe Called Quest. Hope you enjoy.
That's it. I (Aaron) am in Mexico, Tony's in Vegas on his way home, and Thomas and Spencer are going home to Utah in a bit. Happy Christmas, everyone. You're probably rad.
And remember. God looketh upon the style.

Day 155: Be like Thomas and DO SOMETHING
I'm not lying to you, as soon as you get done with this post, get off the internet and go DO something! I want to start a new movement centered on getting people off of the computer. Be a human, not a user. Be a real person. Be a doer, not a watcher.
Like Thomas.
For example, Thomas can be viewed DOING SOMETHING on VH1 Storytellers at 4:40.
He's in the front fow with Al, who's wearing a t-shirt with Spencer on it. All three of them are real people doing things away from the internet.
And just to prove that Thomas actually doing stuff isn't just a one time thing, here's another example. This time, you can see him in this week's episode of Heroes.
Time: 41:30. It's in the last segment. Tear.
That's it. Now go and get something done. What would Thomas think if he saw you just sitting here?
